I ordered online and scheduled a day in advance to receive the BBQ, it arrived on time. I had reached out to customer support to ask a couple questions about the delivery and Ian was incredibly helpful, and all in all the delivery went well with absolutely no issues. (The parcel was HUGE- and I had a hard time hiding it from my husband ahead of his birthday!)
It took my relatively handy husband about 2 hours to build (including the time opening everything up and figuring out what was what)- the only points he raised during the construction process was that the base shelt was slightly bent/bowed, this was easily straightened and wasn't an issue at all. And he said he really wished the screws were magnetic to hold onto his screwdriver (apparently would have made the assembly a bit easy and less fiddly)
We used the BBQ the next day (after figuring out the gas to buy and to get the regulator) and all in all it was a very successful Braai for us!! The size is perfect and the food was delicious.
I did decide to purchase the cast iron grill and grill plate and I'm SO glad I did, they seasoned easily and cooked like a dream!!! Can't wait for BBQ weather now! Our new BBQ is snug in the garden under its beautiful cozy cover:) thank you!
Other than a slight bit of damage to the bottom tray it is very good for the money I straightened the panel and fitted it .which once fitted you could not tell .
I am really impressed with this barbecue.
I, for all my days was adamant on getting a coal grill.
But with time and research opted for a gas grill.
The heat is actually really good and not too long to get there.
Was easy to build and well packaged when arrived.
Also opted for the smoker box so I can put chips in to add extra flavour, works really well and justifies my decision for gas.
Convenient and tasty.
All in all very happy, now I am barbecuing multiple times a week.
I was abit cautious of buying this BBQ after reading a few reviews stating how hard it is to build and the quality of it but I'm so happy with my purchase. It was so easy to put together, I had it up and running within an hour of it being delivered. Also the quality of the BBQ is fantastic for the price paid. Choosing a preferred delivery date was great to as I made sure I was about to take in the package.
I've only used it twice so far but from what I've used its fantastic. So happy I went with my gut and purchased this BBQ and can't wait to use it alot more this summer!
Very good bbq that was fairly tricky to put together but we got there in the end. I have had some oil/fat run off down the insides of the bbq that miss the slide in tray which is annoying, as creates excess clean up, I just wonder if the design of the slide in tray could have been a bit better. All in all a very good bbq though!
And maybe change the direction of the grill grooves on the cast iron grill plate as the fat run off is poor on that too. Will only use for lean meat, fish and veg now which limits it a little.
